| Use to live between Orange Park & Green Cove Springs on the River & I have caught Red Fish, Drum,Sheep-head,Black Bass,Shell Crackers,Blue Gills,Channel Catfish,Stump Knockers,War Mouths,Shrimp throwing a cast net and mullet on a hook. I know I have left a few species off the list but I can tell you the right places will produce the fish.

| i lived in jax my whole life. fished clapboard and browns creek for flounder reds and specs. same with simpsons creek out toward nassau sound. nassau sound was known for black drum at night and the tarpon close to the bridge. my best memories were parking at nassau sound bridge and walking to the point with mud minnows and bringing home my 10 flounder as well as pitching in on helping 3-4 friends catch thier limit too. the point also is known for big specs. there is great inshore fishing in the intra coastal and st johns. any creek with oyster beds is the right spot. in jacksonville hit any sporting goods store and find the Hot Spots Map. this gives you all waterways with precise locations, times of year and bait to use for targeting certian species. one of my favorites on that map was flounder point which highlighted big brown rocks up on shore and in the water. have to mention ft george inlet as well !!! also Blount island north of the cranes where natural land starts again, just anchor in 25 ft of water and put down some live blue crabs (without the shell), put the rod in the rod holder, pop a beer and wait for the 40- 50 inch reds to pound!!!!
