I've got a 1yr old Penn Torque 200 reel on a HOPC 400FS Hopper Rod (80-200lb class jigging rod) in excellent condition- used ~2-3x that's loaded w/ ~65lb power-pro (could be 50-80 I guess?-can't remember) that I would sell for $425- including shipping & any Paypal fees, etc... retails ~$600 w/the braid & tax & shipping... Not really trying to sell it, but I would
Stamas 2550 Family Fisherman w/225F Hondas, Sport Craft 252 FishMaster w/a 6cyl. I/B V-P Diesel & a 22' Triton Seaflight w/200 Evinrude Ficht (b/c you need 3 boats, 1 to use & 2 to work on )

| Im in mobile AL, but travel to pcola alot. It looks like I have gotten hold of a decent priced torque 300, i just am needing a rod now. May go custom not sure. may just go trevellas. Going to be using the torque 300 with 80# power pro and will be used for bottom fishing and jigging butterflies. Im thinkin maybe like a seeker 665XH blank or similar, turbo SiC guides, aluminum seat, gimbal, etc. Prob wont be doing a whole lot near any rigs or anything, so prob wont be having to turn the fish much. But i still need some backbone for the big groupers to keep them out of the rocks. Will be mainly used for bottom fishing, but will see some wahoo..

| yah know i have a question.. i have personally never used the torque 300, but it was recomended for my application. Is there anyone that has used the SHIMANO TYRNOS 20II 2-SPEED ? I was looking at this reel online and it really struck my eye. Im more of a shimano guy myself and have never purchased a penn. I just wanted to see some opinions on the Tyrnos and wether it may work with my application better or werse then the Torque 300. I really would like having the added feature of 2 speeds, in case i hook up with a mean AJ or grouper.. at just about 8 or so ounces more then the 300. I also would rather have the lever drag and not the star drag... I guess question is is wether it will hold up as far as drag and just overall, over-time performance. Ive heard that the torium doesnt hold up well, and i cant afford a Trinidad unfort... So if the tyrnos is not dubed to be a good selection for my application, I will use the Torque 300.

I have 4 of the trevalla rods with the torque reels on them and they are awesome in my opinion. If you can wait a few more weeks for a rod I would check out the spring sale at Outcast Bait and Tackle. They usually have a few of them at really good prices.
