I believe fishing was slow all over the place today. I don't know what was going on. It may have something to do with this high pressure system, water becoming clearer, etc? I know I had the worst day for a long time today and I pulled every weapon in my arsenal. Maybe tomorrow!

It definitely wasn't slow at the pier. Normally I don't fish the pier but we grabbed a couple rods w/ gotchas rigged and a pair of pliers and went out there around 5:30 (after stopping at Surf Burger). Once I got there I wish I had brought my big rods as kings were all over the place. Watched 5 or 6 caught and landed. Since all I had were the gotcha rods we fished shallow and caught a dozen or so blues. Was nice to keep it simple, no boat, no tackle bag (I miss simple and need to do this more often) - still though, would have been nice to bring home a king....
