I have two rod racks that I made for a friend who has now decided he wants wall mounted rod racks instead. These racks are nicely finished and each holds 21 rods. These racks hold the rods securely because of their design. I have roughly 25 bucks in materials on each of these and am asking $125.00 a piece. Thanks

Here is a picture of the two that I own and they work great for all types of rods.

i agree. $125 is a lot. Especially since materials for that project are less than 40 and most anyone here is handy enough to make one them selves. Maybe $75. Maybe.....

The man knows what his time is worth (at least 4 hours each from start to finish (if you are fast)...at what $25.00 a hour), besides if they don't sell and he really wants to move them the price will most likely drop. OH and over half of those here are probably tool challanged... just read some of the "HELP" questions I wouldn't pay that much...I can build my own, but there are many people that have no idea where to start. How many on here do you think has a table saw, drill, hole cutters, heck I know people today that don't even have but a screwdriver, hammer and maybe a pair of pliers. Kind of reminds me of all those that go out and buy fishing weights For those that do ...I wouldn't...I make my own.

Thank you Tuna Man. You are absolutely right things take time to make especially something quality that works very good. People who don’t or can’t build things have no appreciation for the time, skill and tools involved. If you were to go buy the materials to just make one of these it would be way over 25 bucks not even counting the tools needed. With the time I spent on these I think roughly 100 bucks profit is very reasonable.

| I think 125 is a very fair price. Then again, I value my time. If I owned a lot of rods I'd pick one of these up.

Ok. I retract my underestimated statement. I guess i am so used to doing things myself that i don't think about what my time is worth, since i am doing these things for me. They are very good looking rod holders and I hope good luck to you in selling them. You might want to see if some of the local shops would sell a few for you. Or Craigslist. Hell, maybe put together a really cool DVD tutorial and sell those on Ebay for $10 a pop. I see people do those all the time. For those of us that ARE handy and just on't know how to built that certain project.

| thanks for the compliments. i have also owns a few of the store bought racks and wasnt impressed with them almost all of them have the rods too close together and they dont stay secured well. I see a lot of people have viewed this post so i guess my asking price is too high. like i said i built these for a friend and i dont have a use for them so i will let them go for $100.00 a piece. thanks

| If you build any extra wall mount racks post a picture. That sounds like what I need in my garage to get the rods out of the corner.

toma (7/9/2009) If you build any extra wall mount racks post a picture. That sounds like what I need in my garage to get the rods out of the corner.Heres the one Jed (Perdido Pirate) made for me a while back. I'm not sure if this the design he is still using for his wall mount racks but it has works very well and holds just about any kind of rod. I've Known and fished with Jed for many years now and can asure you everything he does is quality including these racks. If you really want a treat you should ask him about the top water lures he makes!
