I painted the bottom of our boat a couple of years ago but i didnt last a whole year. we scuffed the bottom with a sand put a primer on and then the antifoulant and it didnt work out to well. so if anyone has any suggestions.Also like to hear the name of some good paint to use? we used stuff from west marine?

I hasve absolutly ZERO experience in painting boats, cars yes but not boats. Look at this post to get ideas from those that have.

Not enough info.

Is the boat fairly new?

Did you dewax the bottom before sanding?

What gt did you sand it with?

What primer did you use?

Always seems we have to drag more info out of people that have questions.

The only one of those i can answer is that the boat is an 03. well.. and the primer was  yellow haha..... i know that doesn't help though. my brother used to work for galati so we bought the paint through them but i couldnt tell you what brand it was. and it sat for a year in our shed. so i think that might have had something to do with it??
