When do the Kings start running I can't remember from last year. was too busy trying to get moved into my house and all to remember when it started?

We need that magical 70 degree mark for the surface temp.  A few will show up just prior to that, but for the most part Kings like it to be about 72 degrees and warmer.

Usually in April, but like said above the water temp controls all.  You will catch them further offshore before along the beach or in close.  Started catching them last year in mid April about 10mi out and they slowly moved in with the temp and baitfish.

As fast as the water is warming, I would not be surprised to see them the end of March. Nearshore by early April.

Agreed. King Temp - 68. Hopefully there will be plenty baitfish to bring them on in  . . . . I can't wait! :-)

kingfish will start arriving in late march with the smokers cruisin nearshore than in april the numbers will go up and by may and june they will be runnin REALLY good, they will be right behind the larger spanish schools movin through in late march

late march is when the solo bruisers scoot the bars.......then the rest of the pack comes in as the water warms to the mid 70s
