saw a few dead gator gar floating around the bay this monring, called a friend that lives on the water in shalimar and he saw dead minnows floating around, didn't smell any red tide, didnt know what was going on, not much life inside the bay today, fished around the destin bridge, hooked up on a few blue fish, pullled into the harbor and hooked up on a few more, no reds.

Stock, what's up with that water? Is there a testing site near your spot? EPA should post a count for the water there?

You should check it out for e-coli, dissolved o2, red tide, salinity etc..

and let us know what you find...

 or if there's been a spill or runoff issue that needs to be addressed.

ive seen a couple dead minnows in rocky bayou near my house here and there, not all over. they were too smal to identify. i think it could be the weather.

Obama may be President Select BUT HE WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT !!!!!!!!

Theo O2 count in Rocky bayou is good I know that I know a guy that has the ability to check.  I dont know where else ha checks though. I can see if he can get out to the pass some time.

So I wasn't seeing things yesterday - - we fished the rocks there at the last green buoy in the Pass & there was one of those gar washed up on the beach. Didn't see any others, just that one.
