It's nice to see some sheephead.  I see those gulp sitting there.  Did you try them after you ran out of shrimp?

Take care. Kenny

Good report with very nice pics! How many black snapper did you end up with? Those small black snapper are about the tastiest fish in the bay. Sheepshead are fine too I just love those black snapper. Do you think you're breakoffs were by oversize sheepshead or maybe redfish?

We caught about 10 or 15 undersize blacks then moved to the single piling to the west.  We were about out of shrimp when the bigger snapper started to bite, only ended up with one keeper.  Also, caught a few white trout on the Gulps not much else happening on that neep tide.  The wife had the big cut offs, I'm almost sure they were sheeps because we were using 25 lb mono close to the pilings.

Thanks for your reply. You must have a good touch to catch that many black snapper! They are champion bait stealers. You probably know this but when the pinfish start showing up those black snapper will tear the small ones up. You might pick up some bigger ones that way also. Good fishing.

Nice pics and post. Good to see that even on a slack tide fish are still biting.

You catch some, you lose some but the beer will never say no or try to run away.
