Saturday I took my sweetie on her first boating and fishing trip. Although she had been on a cruise to the islands, this was her first trip on a small boat.
We launched from Navy Point around 9:30 and sweetie was all smiles. As excited as she could be. Well, we headed to 3 mile bridge where there were about 6 boats on the east p"cola side, about half way to the hump and within 2 minutes of line in the water, she was hooked up to a real nice trout. She was screaming and laughing about that white trout and as happy as she could be. It was absolutely wonderful experiencing her joy!! We had a ball catching a total of 28 trout and 2 mullet. Then I took her to the pass and a high speed visit to the USS Mass. I deliberately hit the waves at speed so that we were tossed in the air a bit and baby girl laughed and screamed enjoying it all. I don't know who had more fun, me or my baby!! Today she told me that she could not sleep that night, replaying the wonderful time she had on the Mia Belle (175 Scout). Again, it was a wonderful day in Paradise, I mean Pensacola!!!

Great post, problem is I can tell by the look on her face she's hooked.  Your sweetie, has just become your fishing partner.  Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing.

My wife is my best fishing buddy, especially the day she said "baby we need a bigger boat".  Of course I had just flipped her out of her seat on the deck on her butt, when I jumped the wake of a crew boat.
